Who Books an Anger Management Evaluation

Most people come to us after a judge, attorney, or probation officer asks for an anger management evaluation before deciding on a class or sentence. Others need an evaluation for family court, an employer, or a professional license.

We see adults 18 and older anywhere in Nevada by live video, from Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas to Reno, Pahrump, and Elko.

We don't do domestic violence, domestic battery, DUI, or substance use evaluations. Ask your attorney or the court for a provider certified for those orders.

Will My Court Accept Your Evaluation?

Each judge and probation officer decides. Nevada has no state certification for anger management evaluators. Our evaluations give courts what they look for: a live interview with a Nevada-licensed counselor (LCPC) and Certified Anger Management Specialist-II (CAMS-II), standardized questionnaires, a review of your court records, and a signed report with a clear recommendation. Check with your attorney or probation officer before you book. If your court won't accept our report, you get a full refund.

Anger Management Evaluations: Common Questions

How much does an anger management evaluation cost in Las Vegas?

Our evaluation costs $199, with your signed report in 3 business days. Rush service costs $299, with your report by the end of the next business day. Many online evaluation services charge $300 or more.

What happens during an anger management evaluation?

You complete a short intake and standardized anger questionnaires in our secure client portal. Then you meet with a Nevada-licensed counselor (LCPC) and Certified Anger Management Specialist-II (CAMS-II) by live video for about 60 minutes to talk about what led to your referral, your history, and how you handle stress and conflict. The counselor reviews your court paperwork and writes your report.

How long does an anger management evaluation take?

About 15 minutes of forms before your appointment, then a 60-minute video interview. Your report arrives in 3 business days, or by the end of the next business day with rush.

Can I get an anger management evaluation online in Nevada?

Yes. Many Nevada courts and probation officers accept evaluations done by live video with a Nevada-licensed counselor. Each judge decides, so check with your attorney or probation officer first.

Will my court accept your evaluation?

Each judge and probation officer decides. Check with your attorney or probation officer before you book. If your court won't accept our report, send us their note or email within 30 days, and you get a full refund.

What's the difference between an anger management evaluation and a class?

An evaluation is a one-time interview and report. Your report tells the court whether you need a class, how many hours, or counseling instead. A class teaches skills over 8 to 52 hours. Some courts order an evaluation first, then a class.

Do I have to take my class with you?

No. If we recommend a class, your report lists the hours, not a provider. Take your class anywhere your court accepts, including our anger management classes.

What is a Certified Anger Management Specialist?

A professional certified by the National Anger Management Association after advanced training in anger management assessment and treatment. CAMS-II is the second level, for licensed clinicians. Your evaluation report lists the counselor's credentials.

Who sees my report?

You do. We send a copy to your attorney, probation officer, or court only with your signed release. We never share your report with an employer or anyone else without your written OK.

What if my evaluation shows I don't need a class?

Your report says so. Some people leave with a recommendation for no further services, and your court decides from there.

Do you do domestic violence or substance use evaluations?

No. Domestic violence, domestic battery, DUI, and substance use orders in Nevada usually require a state-certified provider. Ask your attorney or the court for the list.

What if I get a subpoena or need the counselor in court?

Court appearances, depositions, and records subpoenas cost $200 an hour, with a 2-hour minimum paid in advance. Most evaluations never need one.

Do you take insurance?

No. Evaluations are self-pay, and insurance plans don't usually cover court-ordered evaluations. Ask about our public defender rate.

Do you see people in Henderson, North Las Vegas, and Reno?

Yes. Evaluations happen by live video, so we see adults anywhere in Nevada, from Las Vegas, Henderson, and North Las Vegas to Reno, Pahrump, and Elko.
